TCI®
300 HP CV Shafts feature CV housings constructed from 1117 carbon steel
billet that is 25% stronger than the stock Honda counterparts and uses a
larger, induction heat-treated, torsional center bar. By permitting a
small amount of twist, the torsional center bar keeps the axle bar from
distorting and failing under impact loads. Furthermore, the 300 HP
shafts utilize larger zeppa-style CV joints, which are more durable than
the Honda dual arc design. These units are assembled with extreme
high-temperature CV grease and quality, American-made boots &
clamps. NOTE:
Limited slip differentials are recommended for these shafts.

HP Axle/Hub Combo CV Shafts
The
TCI® 500 HP shafts use much larger diameter CV than OE Honda. These
units are heat-treated, liquid salt bath quenched and double tempered
(ion nitriding process) to give the axle stubs extra strength while
maintaining torsional twist to resist heavy-duty shock loads. They are
also supplied with our specially redesigned center shafts that eliminate
instant breakage during high RPM launches. The 500 HP sets come complete
with two new axle hubs & extra-long ARP wheel lugs to accommodate the larger diameter stubs. These
units are assembled with extreme high-temperature CV grease and quality,
American-made boots & clamps. NOTE: Limited slip differentials
or spools are required for these shafts.
The
TCI® 500+ HP Racing Shafts are the meanest sets we make! Intended for
the record breaker, not only are the included, new hubs oversized by
0.180" but these shafts are also made from 300M chrome moly steel,
the strongest alloy available for this application. Combined with our
reengineered center shaft that is 0.150" diameter larger than stock
at the internal clip groove and assembled with special hard CV boots,
this extreme combination will handle over 500 HP and will keep you on
the track, not in the pits. Extra-long ARP wheel lugs also
included. NOTE: Limited slip differentials or spools are required for these shafts.

Stuff - The factory
Honda Civic automatic transmission clutch plates are, by design,
relatively small, which is a limiting factor in torque capacity.
In order to increase the torque capacity of these plates, we've
partnered with Alto and the result is all new Red Eagle® clutches
that withstand higher temperatures than any other clutch
available.
Red Eagle®
clutches are designed with a softer, more resilient base paper
which imparts less wear against the opposing steel plates. They
are then saturated in a phenolic resin and undergo a second
saturation in a silicate, which imparts high heat resistance to
the friction paper.
Couple these
terrific clutches with our Kolene® treated steels and you've got
a winning combination. The salt bath nitriding process on these
steels provides a surface treatment that enhances wear and fatigue
resistance up to 500%.
In short, this Red
Eagle® clutch/Kolene® steel combination will shorten clutch
lock-up time, reduce heat due to slip, increase fatigue
resistance; bolstering your transmission against the increased
torque of your modified Honda power plant.
